The boys have always had their own rooms, but earlier this year we moved them in together to make room for baby sister! They were set on bunkbeds, and cartoon wall clings to make their big kid room their own, but both of those ideas wanted to make me barf.

We compromised on a theme for their room, and I promise to let them help me on all the fun stuff! It was no big surprise that they chose Star Wars! I am happy with this choice, because even though I have never seen any of the movies (never want to), I know how popular it is, and knew styling a Star Wars bedroom would be an easier option to work with. (It was a little hard to get them past the bunkbeds, they still pray for them…keep praying kids.)

Star Wars Bedroom Ideas

My top want in this room was for it to turn out clean, modern, and a room that they could grow with. SO I decided for this to be a modern Star Wars room! They don’t have too much furniture in their bedroom, (we have a bonus room that has their homework desks in it) just beds, dresser and lamps, that I kept white or mostly white. I especially love it because I can just take Clorox wipes to get!

I did go a little in the 70s vibe with their dresser. The drawers are so cool how they are angled out at the bottom, and I love the touch of wood paneling. Didn’t grab a picture of it, but on the other side of their window is this floor lamp theirs, which I think looks space agey!

I am SUPER PUMPED about this peel and stick navy star constellation wall paper that I found for their Star Wars room. When first sourcing, I found this one from West Elm, but it was going to be about $600 and that was lame. The one I went with on Amazon went on great, has stayed up, and looks so fab. Plus it only cost $150 for that same wall. BOOM.

These Star Wars Art Printed Posters are just so rad. I ordered size 18×24, and just ordered cheap metal poster frames on Amazon. I let the boys pick which one they wanted over their bed and they loved it! The Patent Print of the X-Wing on their dresser is from Etsy, and their size is a 5×7 with a cheap frame from Target.

While our shopping for baby sister at Pottery Barn Kids, I spotted this Planet Mobile and knew it would be such a fun pop in their navy based room! I know, it would be better if the solar system was the one from Star Wars, but this way it is also educational ok? Their cute Star Wars embroidered bed throw pillows are also from Pottery Barn kids, and something I also had them pick out.

For the rest of their bedding it is pretty simple. I wanted to keep a clean look, so I stuck with white comforters and navy & grey pillows. I did let them get these super cute and fun Star Wars bed sheets though!

Over the past holidays and birthdays they have collected quite the collection of Star Wars books! And guess what? Some of them have kinda cute covers! So I decided to show them off, and add them to a couple of floating white shelves. In between the books I added in a few of the many Star Wars action figures they have for good measure. I needed something to go over the shelves to balance it all out, and am still so happy I found this Star Wars Pendant on Etsy! For those of you who don’t know (like me when I first found it) Alderaan is a planet in the Star Wars solar system.

Lastly, the boys pajamas are from the Hanna Andersson Star Wars collection. They have so many cute ones! I love this brand for pajamas too! I can wash them a million times and they hold up their quality so perfectly.
