Daily Skin Care Routine

Daily Skin Care Routine by popular Orange County style blogger Dress Me Blonde

The other day I asked you all via IG Stories if you would like a clothes try on session OR my skin care routine. Holy smokes! I had no idea you all were skin care crazy! It won by a landslide!

I am more than happy to share my honest everyday skin care routine. These products are the basics that I always always use. I will add in masks, different beauty tools, and SPF’s but these included in this post are IT.

I’m 28 years old, the perfect age of still getting random breakouts and also getting wrinkles. I also have super sensitive skin. I have tried probably 5 billion (not an exaggeration) different products, creams, washes, and serums. I am SO proud to say that this routine right here works soo perfectly for me. And I am not changing it!

I have broken up my skin care routine into morning and night, and have included product info on each item, and the order that I use them.

My Skin Care Routine – Morning:

After staring at my phone in bed for a few while my two kids jump up and down on my head, I get up and the first thing I do is wash my face. I use Cetaphil Face Wash. It is gentle, it is non-fragrant, it is super mild, and cleans well. Plus it is great for skin that has acne, eczema, or redness.

After washing my face I let it air dry, and then mist my face with Rose Water. If you’re not on the rose water train…ALL ABOARD. It is amazing. The kind I use is only $7 and lasts a life time. Benefits are hydration, vitamins, and roses on your face.

Next up is vitamin c serum. So many amazing benefits guys! Smoother texture, more even skin tone, helps promote the production of collagen, leaves skin more radiant, and even helps fine lines go bye-bye. I apply this with clean finger tips/hands pushing the serum into my face and under my jaw area. *Tip make sure to let this all the way absorb into your skin before the next step, I’ve noticed if I don’t do this it flakes off.

While the vitamin c serum is absorbing I apply RoC Eye Cream. I have been a long time user of this eye cream. It is not the most fancy, or super expensive but it works like magic! Every so often when I run out I would buy a different eye cream. Every single time I have regretted it. I can notice a huge difference when I do not use this! My dark circles are lighter, my wrinkles are basically gone, and the skin tone under and around my eyes looks amazing.

Now that your serum is absorbed…Baebody Retinol Face Cream totally just discovered this face cream on the deep dark web on a random forum one day. Praise to that forum. I owe the incredible change (for the good) of my skin to this retinol face cream. It has the highest % of retinol that you are able to get without a prescription, plus it is jammed packed with so many vitamins,  green tea, and hydraulic acid. The active ingredients in this are so important. Retinol gets rid of deep lines, wrinkles, gets rid of redness, helps your skin be fuller and firmer (also known as vitamin A). Hydraulic acid, the other active ingredient, moistures, and is what gives you a smooth glow. This face cream is my holy grail! It keeps the zits away, and the wrinkles at bay.

On days that I wear make-up I add in these two:

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer , this is super light weight, smoothes out pores, and keeps oil away! It makes my make up go on and STAY on so so good.

I use the Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm under my eyes as an extra protectant. It makes my concealer stay in place, and doesn’t crease! Plus it is anti-aging!

Morning Routine Checklist:

Cetaphil Face Wash

Rose Water Facial Mist

Vitamin C Serum

RoC Eye Cream

Baebody Retinol Face Cream

Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer

Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm

My Skin Care Routine – Night:

After a long day of germs, dirt, make-up, sweat, and every other nasty thing-I wash my face twice, removing make up with Cetaphil (same cleanser as used in the morning) and once more, cleansing my skin with Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. I love the Special Cleansing Gel, because it is a foaming gel that naturally removes dirt and impurities, as well as excess oil without striping away moisture. *Note: a little goes a long way with this cleansing gel.

I then break out my trusty Rose Water and I mist my face again.

Followed by my RoC Eye Cream.

After my rose water mist is absorbed, I break out my Baebody Retinol Face Cream and apply it. Make sure to rub this all the way into your skin. At night, I also bring this cream down a little further under my chin.

Eyes are super important to me, and I feel like they are my trouble spot, so at night I do more eyes with Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex. This fights puffiness, fights dehydration, and is anti-aging.

My last step of the night is neck cream. You can fake having a 20 year old face, but if your neck isn’t taken care of…it will totally blow your cover. Remember that wisdom people. I like both of the StriVectin Advanced Tightening Neck Cream or RoC Neck & Chest Cream (more budget friendly).

Night Routine Checklist:

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel

Rose Water

RoC Eye Cream

Baebody Face Cream

Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex

StriVectin Advanced Tightening Neck Cream

RoC Neck & Chest Cream

***I also have found the winner of all winners when it comes to a facial scrub! Twice a week I use Advanced Microdermabrasion Scrub. It gets the job done, and doesn’t make my skin mad after! It also lasts a long time.

Sometimes zits DO happen…but I just apply this magical Drying Lotion on the spot overnight and it helps so much! ****
