I hope you all are having a fab week! Before we get into how to create an easy resort wear look, just wanted to share a couple of cute beach shots with my friend Jen. She blogs over at Sprinkles on Sunday. She is the cutest, and is a new mom to such a fluffy pup!

Also, these pictures appear as if we are just oh so casually lounging on a rock beachside. Did we fool you?? We actually had to awkwardly boost each other over a fence up onto these steep cliffs. All the while we were sitting the sharp rocks were jabbing us, and we were sliding off! Not to mention is was about 45 degrees, and sprinkling. Worth it? I think so 🙂 That view sure is pretty!

My Off The Shoulder Lace Up One Piece is by L Space and the ribbed fabric makes it so comfortable! I have the peachy color, but it comes in classic black too. I’m wearing a pair of my favorite Black Cat Eye Sunglasses by Quay and they are a steal for only $55. I wear this Layered Baublebar Choker all of the time.

Jen’s suit is this darling Yaz One Shoulder Bikini. It comes in a few colors, and different style options, even a one piece! Her shorts are these AGLODE ones, and they are super popular this year.

Ok ladies, I’m about to share some super easy tips on how to throw together an easy beach resort wear look.

Start with your swim piece. For me, I always think a one piece works best when I am going for a resort wear vibe. It just feels more chic to me. I like to choose a one piece that a classic fit, but cute detail to it. This suit above has the classic off the shoulder fit. The cute detail for it is the lace up it has.

Next add your coverup piece or your “resort wear” item. When wearing a one piece I add in either a sleek coverup skirt, or these amazing coverup flyaway pants. If you choose to wear a bikini when styling a resort wear look, add a long cover up maxi dress, or long coverup kimono.

Time for shoes! Resort wear is often best effortless, so go for a neutral. I love these Tory Burch Flip Flops in a nude or black color.

When accessorizing, now is the time to break out those dramatic frame, and dark lenses for sunglasses! I like to switch it up when it comes to jewelry and either wear a dainty layered necklace, or colorful statement earrings. Don’t forget a fabulous floppy hat!
